Water Moccasins
May 17, 2007 by president.
Several citizens asked which type of snakes were entering homes.
Mayor Jefferies said Water Moccasins (aka Cotton Mouths) have been sighted near Park Hills and Nixon.
For quickest response, residents should call 911. They can also contact Frank Miller during office hours or the Police after that.
Note: around my house, the snakes really like to snuggle down in the water meter and sprinkler control valves. These valves generally remain damp even on dry days and provide a nice habitat for reptiles.
