City Notice: POLITICAL SIGNAGE NOTICE

As of July 2008, political signs are no longer regulated by the City of Rollingwood.A political sign is defined as a temporary sign in support of a political candidate or issue in a future city, county, state or national election. Such sign includes signs that are erected for the purpose of informing the public of that person’s political beliefs, including viewpoints concerning current events of a political nature.However, the following restrictions do apply.
- No sign may be erected or maintained in such manner as to obstruct the view of operators of motor vehicles; or at any location where, by reason of position, shape, size, color or illumination, it may interfere with, obstruct the view of, or be confused with any authorized traffic sign, signal or device.
- No person may place, erect or maintain, or cause the placement, erection or maintenance of any Sign on any tree, utility pole, fence, retaining wall, easement or right-of-way.
- No person may place, erect or maintain, or cause the placement, erection or maintenance of any Sign upon any City property without the prior approval of the City Council.
