eWaste Recycling 12/6 @ Expo Center
December 1, 2008 by president.
There is a consumer electronics recycling event this Saturday at the Travis County Expo Center (7311 Decker) from 9 to 4 PM.
This is a great way to get rid of thos old TVs, computers, monitors, VCRs, DVDs, cameras, batteries, and any other ewaste items. These items are VERY HAZARDOUS and should NEVER be thrown away in the trash.
Rob H is considering organizing a drop off in Rollingwood for people who don’t want to make the 12 mile haul to east Austin. Details to follow.

Two Busy Tuesdays: RNA Meeting 12/2 & RWC Holiday Party 12/9
December 1, 2008 by president.
Hello Rollingwood,
It’s December and time to get our festive on! This is a quick reminder that the Rollingwood Neighborhood Association is meeting tomorrow (12/2) at 8* PM in City Hall. We’ll be talking about new officers (interested in basking in the glow? please come!) and our annual joint gift to the City.
The annual Rollingwood Women’s Club Holiday Party is next week (12/9). I know that everyone’s planning their culinary masterpiece (A to K bring dessert & L to Z bring an appetizer) while Laura and I are debating cookies vs. scones from HEB vs. Randall’s.
There’s been a tremendous amount of donations supporting the Field House project. Here’s the donation form or make an online donation if you’d like to participate by buying a paver or plaque!
Rob
* Note Time Change from 7 PM. We are meeting later to accommodate a joint RCDC & City Council meeting and may have to start late if they run long.

Field House Donations Sought
December 1, 2008 by cathorne.
Friends of Rollingwood Park and Hatley Fields are asking community members to support the renovation of the park Field House.
By working together and giving generously to this worthy campaign, we can build a Field House providing a concession area, shaded seating, storage and permanent restrooms. The Field House will benefit all users of the park and fields; including little league, softball, soccer, and football youth and families, as well as park visitors from Rollingwood, Austin and Westlake.
To support this project, use the donation form or to make a credit card donation online on the Fundraiser page. Please contact Catherine Horne with any questions about this donation at 708-1723 or via email at fundthefieldhouse@yahoo.com.
